Cheltenham changes / Tiny stop
Stagecoach have made changes to many routes in Cheltenham, which become effective today, reports the Gloucestershire Echo. See full details of the changes on Stagecoach's website, where you can also find details of changes in Swindon, also effective from today.
The Hinckley Times reports on a tiny bus stop that has room for no more than two well-acquainted people to wait for the bus at the same time. You can see it on Google Maps here. If you know of a bus stop with even less waiting room, please let us know in the comments below.

That sort of size of hard standing is fairly normal for a rural bus stop (& despite its proximity to Hinckley & Barwell this is a fairly rural stop with few nearby dwellings), essentially the hardstanding is designed for 1 or 2 people to wait and to provide something solid for alightling passengers to step on to. As with many things like this all that covering it looks like it will achieve is to get the stop removed by the council as unused, which hardly seems a worthwhile result of such coverage especially as it is making it out to be a much more unusual thing (in terms of size of hard standing) than it actually is.
ReplyDeleteMore bus cuts in Newport South Wales with Newport Transport cutting some services. There service 1 is cut from every hour to every two hours. Some Sunday services axed and a number of other routes with frequency reduced
ReplyDeleteWhat do bus cuts in Newport have to do with this particular post, which concerns Cheltenham and Hinkley?
